Contains 2 active ingredients: Ipratropium Bromide 0.5 mg which is a type of medicine called an antimuscarinic (or anticholinergic) bronchodilator. It works by opening the airways, making it easier to breathe. Fenoterol Hydrobromide 1.25 mg which is a beta-2 adrenergic agonist and bronchodilator used for the symptomatic treatment of asthma.
In asthma and chronic obstructive lung diseases (COPD), such as chronic bronchitis or emphysema, the airways become narrowed, and this makes breathing in and out difficult.
Ipratropium works by blocking muscarinic receptors that are found on the muscle surrounding the airways. This allows the muscle around the airways to relax and the airways to open.
