Contains the active ingredient : Ivermectin 6 mg which is an antiparasitic medication primarily used to treat infections caused by certain parasitic worms and external parasites like head lice. For humans, it is available as a prescription-only oral tablet or topical formulation. 

Approved Uses in Humans

It works by interfering with the nerve and muscle functions of parasites. It binds to specific channels in their cells, leading to paralysis and death. In mammals, these channels are located in the central nervous system, where the drug typically cannot reach because it does not readily cross the blood-brain barrier. 

What is it used for?

Specifically used to treat strongyloidiasis (an intestinal infection caused by threadworms) and onchocerciasis (river blindness).
