Mometasone acts inside the skin cells to stop the release of these inflammatory substances. This reduces the swelling, redness and itching and so helps prevent scratching that can further irritate the skin.
What is it used for?
Elomet is prescribed to relieve skin inflammation and itching associated with severe forms of inflammatory scalp conditions such as:
- Atopic eczema or dermatitis.
- Psoriasis
